Suggested Itinerary (all seasons):

Day 1: BUCHAREST
Arrival at the OTP airport Bucharest. Meet our guide at the airport, transfer to Hotel Central *** or equivalent. Leisure in the centre of Bucharest on your own. Welcome festive dinner in a special restaurant in Herastrau Park.

Day 2: BUCHAREST - SINAIA
Breakfast in hotel. City tour of the capital, including Romanian Athenaeum, Royal Palace, National Theatre, University etc. Visit of the Parliament Palace and the National Museum of Art. Lunch in a restaurant in Bucharest. Leaving for the mountain resort of Sinaia. Accommodation at Hotel Palace ****. Leisure and dinner on your own.

Day 3: SINAIA - PELES CASTLE - BRASOV - BRAN
Early breakfast in hotel. Visit of the Peles Castle. Leaving to Brasov (UNESCO objective). City tour including Weavers' Bastion (Bastionul Tesatorilor), Council Square (Piata Sfatului) etc. Visit of the Black Church (Biserica Neagra). Lunch at a restaurant. Leaving to the Bran village, accommodation at Vila Bran ****. Festive dinner with folk music or traditional folkloric show with camp fire at the hotel. Astro night.

Day 4: BRAN CASTLE - SIGHISOARA - BIERTAN CITADEL - TARGU-MURES
Following breakfast in the hotel, visit of the Bran Castle. Leaving to the medieval city of Sighisoara, visit of the Citadel, the Monastery and the Clock Tower. Lunch on the way. Visit of Biertan Citadel (UNESCO objective). Departure to the city of Targu Mures, visit of the old centre with Culture Palace, Fortress and possible the impressive Teleky library. Accommodation at the Hotel Continental ***. Leisure and dinner on your own.

Day 5: TARGU MURES - BISTRITA - BOGDAN-VODA - ROZAVLEA - BARSANA CHURCH - FERESTI
Breakfast in the hotel. Departure to Maramures county. Visit of the old centre in the city of Bistrita. Following to Salautei Valley to Moisei. Visit to the wooden churches Bogdan Voda and Rozavlea and visit to the workshop of a famous master carver in his workshop. He represented Romania at the 1999 Smithsonian World Festival in Washington, DC. Lunch on the way. Visit the exquisite Barsana Monastery (UNESCO objective), a great example of Maramures wooden church architecture. Accommodation and folkloric dinner at guesthouse Perla Cosaului *** in the village of Feresti, Maramures county.

Day 6: FERESTI - SIGHETU-MARMATIEI - SAPANTA CHEERFUL CEMETERY - FERESTI
Breakfast in the guesthouse. Leaving to the city of Sighetu-Marmatiei. Visit at the Ethnographic Museum, the Anti Communist Memorial - a political prison in the Communist times which provides a direct connection to Romania's most recent history and possible the Cathedral in the city center. Lunch on the way. Visit of the Cheerful Cemetery in the village of Sapanta. Leaving to Feresti and visit in the area of some traditional objectives such as a plum brandy distillery, a typical whirlpool or water mill. Accommodation and dinner with camp fire at the guesthouse Perla Cosaului *** in Feresti village, Maramures county.

Day 7: FERESTI - BAIA-MARE - CLUJ-NAPOCA
Following the breakfast in guesthouse, departure to the city of Cluj-Napoca crossing the old center of Baia Mare. Lunch at a restaurant in Cluj. City tour, including the St. Michael Cathedral, Banffy Palace and theatre building. Visit the Botanical Gardens. Accommodation at Hotel Victoria ***. Leisure and dinner on your own.

Day 8: CLUJ-NAPOCA - ALBA-IULIA - SIBIEL
Following breakfast in the hotel, departure to the village of Sibiel. Lunch on the way. Visit of the old center of Alba-Iulia and walking in the citadel (UNESCO tentative objective). Visit at the Painted Icons Museum in Sibiel. Accommodation and dinner at guesthouse *** in Sibiel, Sibiu county.

Day 9: SIBIEL - SIBIU - TRANSFAGARASAN
Breakfast in the guesthouse. Departure to the city of Sibiu (UNESCO objective). Visit of the historical city, historical fortifications and Brukenthal Museum. Lunch at a restaurant in Sibiu. Visit of Balea Lake and possibly Balea Cascade. Crossing Carpathian Mountains on the highest altitude route in Romania, Transfagarasan (2000m alt). Accommodation in Piscul Negru at Hotel Siesta *** in Transfagarasan area.

Day 10: TRANSFAGARASAN - CURTEA DE ARGES MONASTERY - TARGOVISTE
Following breakfast in the hotel, visit of Vidraru Lake. Departure to Curtea de Arges, visit the Monastery (UNESCO tentative objective). Lunch at a restaurant on the way. Arrival in the city of Targoviste, the old capital. Visit of the Royal Court, the church and Chindia Tower. Accommodation at Dambovita Hotel ***. Visit of Dealu Monastery. Farewell traditional dinner and astro night at guesthouse near Targoviste.

Day 11: TARGOVISTE - BUCURESTI
Following the breakfast in hotel, departure to Bucharest. Leisure and shopping. Lunch in a restaurant in Bucharest. Transfer at the OTP airport Bucharest. Good bye Romania!
